Hot Wheels Nitro Warriors Advert with Vanguard Pictures

Overview

Vanguard Pictures are a rapidly growing production company that specialise in ‘stylized’ Stop Motion and live-action photography, and they are really ‘leading the way’ (Hot Wheels joke). They were commissioned to create an official advert for Mattel after previously making two short films. You can see both the film and the making of below.

Paul Greer wanted us to print some amazing 3D character models for the film. Each one was designed by Ian Pickering, and you can see photos of them below.

We printed them in white Nylon on our SLS machines, before Tom gave them a finishing touch with a lick of paint.

It was a really great project and it looks like we’ll be partners in crime going into the future, so keep a watch out for the next instalment from Vanguard Pictures and 3DPRINTUK.
