Overview

Andy Maw has been designing and inventing sailing equipment for 5+ years now and we have seen his designs progress over that time which is something that gets us really excited here at 3DPRINTUK.

Recently Andy has been using our SLS Nylon for two great projects, showing the strength and durability of the 3D printed material.

The QR Trapeze Loop improves upon current trapeze loop systems used on sailing dinghy’s allowing a super quick release under pressure. Andy’s Tiller Extension Fitting is again an improvement to a current design and stops the sheeting getting caught on the tiller.

It’s a great use of an end use product – really showing the strength of the Nylon SLS material and we’re made up that we’ve spotted the 3DPRINTUK sticker on Andy’s boat!
