Show and Glow 2014 – Trophies and Awards

Overview

Show and Glow is set in the Glow arena at Bluewater shopping centre, just outside London – and although only in it’s second year the show received a massive response from cars and the public.

The organiser, Simon Delahaye, wanted to explore a technology and method that no one else had thought to use yet. The design was to stay simple and classy – the lettering was to provide a base to the plaque, and the plaque itself needed to have the category name and the winner/runner-up laser engraved into the back.

We did not have very long to get these done as the final designs were agreed the week before the show. In the week running up to the event all 40 of the bases were designed, printed and coated to insure met the high standards.

By the deadline everything was complete, and Simon had given us a spot to show a car as a thanks for helping him with the trophies. Production Manager Connor, who is involved with this car scene, happily took up the opportunity to get his car in there and using it as a way of displaying the trophies.
