Last night, in Birmingham, some of the 3DPRINTUK team got to celebrate our CEO, Nick Allen, at ‘The Manufacturer Top 100’ awards. Nick won the award for “Inspiring Leader” and we couldn’t be more proud of him.
Celebrating 10 years of the awards, The Manufacturer hosted its Top 100 ceremony at the NEC during Manufacturing Week. The inspiring leader category searches for a leader “who has created wealth for and created stable employment at a UK-based manufacturing firm, while remaining committed to investing in developing the value of their manufacturing business through people, processes and technology.” This is the very definition of Nick, and why he was nominated, it’s also probably why he won.
Nick’s drive and passion is the cornerstone of 3DPRINTUK and its significant success in the field of additive manufacturing (AM). Nick started off with just one 3D printer in a garden shed, with no prior business experience and has since grown into one of the most well-known 3D printing brands in the UK. 3DPRINTUK has been reported in the 2023 FT Europe’s 1000 Fastest Growing Companies and is the 3rd fastest-growing manufacturing company in the UK — a sure testament to Nick’s leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence.
With a focus on innovation Nick is always on the lookout for new technologies, materials, and systems that can improve his company’s offerings. 3DPRINTUK was the first 3D printing bureau to offer HP’s 5210 multi jet fusion (MJF) system in the UK, and the first service to offer DyeMansion’s DM60 post processing technology, which has since become the industry standard. His ability to test and push the boundaries of new technologies has enabled him to provide clients with the best possible outcomes, ensuring that they stay ahead of the curve in their respective industries.
Nick’s dedication to his community is also evident in his philanthropic activities. He is actively involved in various causes, including supporting education, healthcare, and environmental initiatives. Earlier this year, Nick announced an ambitious goal that 3DPRINTUK aims to become the first fully certified, carbon-neutral 3D printing bureau by the end of 2023, which is a testimony to his commitment to sustainability.
Nick’s commitment to excellence and his willingness to invest in his own company have been the driving forces behind his continued success. His dedication to his work, attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction has earned him a reputation as a reliable and knowledgeable expert in the field of PBF additive manufacturing. By constantly testing and experimenting with new ideas, he is helping to drive the industry forward and shape the future of additive manufacturing.
Like we said – we couldn’t be prouder of him. It was fun watching him too.
